If you are in the room and connecting with the right people at the right time and are willing to act and make decisions quickly you will continue to stay at the top.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to fly to the Bahamas on a private jet for a one day mastermind. It was my first time doing both, and it was a great experience. I also met some amazing men who all about my age and who are highly successful. These guys are all 7 and 8 figure earners. And they were some of the nicest, and most down to earth guys I’ve ever had the pleasure to spend time with.
I went because I know and recognize that when these opportunities arise you take advantage of them.
To be in a room or to spend time with people like this helps you to get to where you are trying to go at a high rate of speed. I met and created friendships with these men. We got to know each other outside of a business environment. When you get to know a person – not just the business side of them – you really have an opportunity to connect.
The connection is what I would say is the number one benefit from this trip, and any similar event. When you bring a group of like-minded people together, people who do not settle, people who are not complacent and want to continue to grow and to serve others, there is something special in that. You all combine your experiences and knowledge and work together to lift each other up.
There were constant side conversations throughout the entire trip. Conversations around how each of us could partner or work together. Conversations around each of our unique talents and skill sets, and how we can use those to help serve more people and be more successful.
As your circle grows, and the net worth of your network increases you can do one of two things. You can keep up or get left behind.
There are many great people in our world. However, there are also many who are extremely comfortable and complacent. And you know, there’s nothing wrong with that if that’s what makes them happy and that’s where they want their life to be, but as someone who never wants to settle and wants to continue to grow, these types of experiences and opportunities are priceless. The ability to be in a room, or on a jet, or in the Bahamas with others of the caliber that were on this trip is not common. It definitely doesn’t happen every day. And I know that to grow, to reach the next level that I’m aiming for, I need to be open to these opportunities and willing to make the decision and to do what’s required to make it happen when they do.
The higher you go up the less crowded it becomes, but the competition level is amplified. To stay at the top you must always be stepping up your game to remain relevant. Today, everything changes so fast and if you are in the room with the right people at the right time and are willing to act and make decisions quickly you will continue to stay at the top.
